MakerFlo Affiliate Program
Terms & Conditions
Operated by MOPEN LLC dba MakerFlo
Thanks for joining the MakerFlo Affiliate Program!
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the MakerFlo Affiliate Program (the “Program”) operated by MOPEN LLC dba MakerFlo (“MakerFlo,” “we,” “us,” or “Merchant”). Individuals and businesses participating in the Program may be referred to as “Affiliate” or “you.”
The purpose of the Program is to reward Affiliates for genuinely referring customers to MakerFlo through their own content, audience, recommendations, marketing efforts, and community.
By registering for or participating in the Program, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety, you are not authorized to register for or participate in the Program.
1. Approval or Rejection of Registration
MakerFlo reserves the right to approve or reject any Affiliate Program application at our discretion.
Participation in the Program is a privilege and does not create an employment, partnership, agency, franchise, joint venture, or other similar relationship between MakerFlo and the Affiliate.
Approval into the Program does not guarantee continued participation. Affiliates must continue to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
2. Affiliate Links, Coupon Codes & Attribution
Approved Affiliates will receive a unique affiliate link that can be used to refer customers to MakerFlo. Affiliates may also generate links to specific MakerFlo products or collections when supported by the affiliate platform.
Affiliate tracking generally follows the attribution rules established within MakerFlo’s affiliate platform. If a customer clicks multiple affiliate links, commission attribution may be assigned based on the most recent qualifying referral or other tracking rules established by the platform.
Affiliates may also be assigned a unique coupon code. Details and usage requirements for any assigned coupon will be available through the Affiliate Dashboard or communicated directly by MakerFlo.
If a customer uses an Affiliate’s qualifying link and coupon code on the same transaction, the Affiliate will not receive duplicate commissions.
Affiliates may only promote coupon codes specifically assigned or expressly approved for their use by MakerFlo.
Public MakerFlo sales, sitewide promotions, email offers, promotional codes, or other discounts are not automatically Affiliate-specific offers and may not be represented as though they are exclusive discounts provided by the Affiliate.
Affiliates may not state or imply that clicking their affiliate link provides the customer with a discount unless that link or an associated approved coupon actually provides the stated discount.
3. Commissions & Payments
Affiliates may earn commission when a qualifying customer makes an eligible purchase on MakerFlo.com through the Affiliate’s properly tracked referral.
Commission rates and structures are determined by MakerFlo and may vary by Affiliate, product, promotion, or program type. Current commission information will be communicated through the Affiliate Dashboard, Affiliate Guide, or directly by MakerFlo.
MakerFlo may modify commission rates, eligible products, promotional incentives, cookie durations, payout requirements, and other Program terms at its discretion. Unless otherwise stated, changes will apply prospectively and will not reduce commissions already validly earned before the effective date of the change.
Commission is calculated based on the eligible order value and does not include taxes, shipping charges, refunded amounts, canceled items, or other non-qualifying fees unless otherwise stated.
Affiliates are responsible for providing accurate payment information within their account settings. Payment schedules and applicable payout requirements will be communicated through the Affiliate Dashboard, Affiliate Guide, or directly by MakerFlo.
Payments will only be issued for eligible transactions that have been successfully completed and verified.
Transactions resulting in cancellations, refunds, returns, chargebacks, fraudulent activity, or other disqualifying circumstances are not eligible for commission. If commission has already been credited on a transaction that is later refunded, charged back, or otherwise determined to be ineligible, MakerFlo may reverse or deduct that commission from future payments where permitted.
MakerFlo reserves the right to review referral activity and individual orders before approving commission payments.
4. Fair Use & Genuine Referrals
The MakerFlo Affiliate Program is intended to compensate Affiliates for customers and sales they genuinely refer to MakerFlo through their own audience, content, recommendations, or promotional efforts.
Affiliate commissions are intended to reward genuine customer acquisition and influence, not simply participation in a transaction that would have occurred without the Affiliate.
Affiliate activity must reflect genuine referral behavior. MakerFlo reserves the right to investigate referral activity that appears fraudulent, misleading, manipulated, self-generated, or inconsistent with the purpose of the Program.
MakerFlo may request additional information from an Affiliate when reasonably necessary to verify referral activity.
Commissions associated with fraudulent activity, prohibited activity described in these Terms, manipulated attribution, or transactions that otherwise do not constitute legitimate qualifying referrals may be rejected or voided.
MakerFlo’s determination regarding whether a referral or transaction qualifies for commission will be final, provided such determination is made reasonably and in good faith.
5. Prohibited Affiliate Activity
Unless MakerFlo provides prior written approval, Affiliates may not:
Post or distribute affiliate links or affiliate coupon codes on coupon, deal, cashback, rebate, discount-code, or similar websites or platforms.
Submit Affiliate links or codes to browser extensions, coupon-finding tools, shopping extensions, or services primarily designed to intercept customers at or near the point of purchase.
Advertise existing public MakerFlo sales, discounts, or promotions as though they are an exclusive discount offered through the Affiliate.
Publish, distribute, or promote coupon codes that have not been specifically assigned or approved for that Affiliate.
State or imply that an affiliate link provides a discount when the link itself does not provide that discount.
Make purchases through their own Affiliate link or otherwise engage in self-referrals primarily for the purpose of generating commission.
Engage in cookie stuffing, forced clicks, automatic redirects, link hijacking, hidden links, misleading redirects, or other techniques intended to manipulate affiliate tracking or attribution.
Use paid search advertising or bid on MakerFlo’s company name, trademarks, product names, misspellings, or other branded search terms without prior written approval from MakerFlo.
Create websites, domains, social media accounts, advertisements, pages, profiles, or other materials that impersonate MakerFlo or could reasonably cause a customer to believe the Affiliate is an official MakerFlo account or representative.
Misrepresent their relationship with MakerFlo.
Make false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims regarding MakerFlo products, pricing, discounts, promotions, warranties, or policies.
Use spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, deceptive advertising, or other unlawful or misleading promotional practices.
Engage in any activity primarily intended to claim commission for traffic, customers, or purchases the Affiliate did not genuinely refer.
MakerFlo may approve certain activities otherwise restricted above on a case-by-case basis. Any exception must be authorized by MakerFlo in writing.
6. Affiliate Marketing & Promotional Channels
Affiliates are encouraged to promote MakerFlo through their own legitimate marketing channels, including social media, websites, blogs, videos, educational content, email audiences, communities, and other channels appropriate to their business or audience.
All Affiliate marketing must accurately represent MakerFlo, our products, and the Affiliate’s relationship with MakerFlo.
Participation in the Program does not grant an Affiliate permission to represent themselves as MakerFlo, speak on behalf of MakerFlo, or create the impression that they are an employee or official representative of the company.
MakerFlo reserves the right to request that inaccurate, misleading, outdated, unauthorized, or otherwise inappropriate promotional material relating to MakerFlo be corrected or removed.
7. FTC Disclosures & Legal Compliance
Affiliates are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, advertising requirements, platform rules, and disclosure requirements related to their Affiliate activity.
When promoting MakerFlo products or sharing Affiliate links or codes, Affiliates must clearly and conspicuously disclose their financial relationship with MakerFlo when required.
Disclosures should be easy for consumers to notice and understand and should clearly communicate that the Affiliate may earn a commission from qualifying purchases.
Affiliates are responsible for complying with applicable Federal Trade Commission (FTC) endorsement and advertising disclosure requirements, as well as applicable requirements of social media platforms and other channels they use.
8. Marketing Materials & MakerFlo Intellectual Property
MakerFlo may provide promotional materials such as banners, logos, product imagery, videos, graphics, links, or other assets through the Affiliate Dashboard, Marketing Tools section, shared folders, or directly from the MakerFlo team.
These materials may be used to promote MakerFlo as part of the Affiliate Program, subject to any instructions or restrictions provided with the materials.
MakerFlo trademarks, logos, product imagery, and other brand assets remain the property of MakerFlo or their respective owners. Participation in the Program does not transfer ownership of MakerFlo intellectual property to the Affiliate.
Any permission to use MakerFlo intellectual property is limited, non-exclusive, revocable, and solely for authorized promotion of MakerFlo through the Program. Affiliates must stop using such materials when requested by MakerFlo or when their participation ends.
9. Affiliate-Created Content & Reposting Rights
Affiliates retain ownership of original content they create, subject to any separate agreement with MakerFlo.
By tagging MakerFlo, submitting content to MakerFlo, or creating content specifically in connection with the Program, the Affiliate grants MakerFlo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to repost, display, share, and distribute that content through MakerFlo’s owned social media accounts, website, email, and other organic marketing channels, with reasonable attribution where appropriate.
This license does not automatically grant MakerFlo the right to use an Affiliate’s name, likeness, voice, or content in paid advertising, whitelisting, partnership ads, or other paid media. Paid advertising usage requires separate written authorization or a separate creator/content agreement unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
10. Confidential Information
Affiliates may receive non-public information regarding upcoming products, promotions, launches, pricing, business plans, marketing campaigns, or other MakerFlo information.
Information identified as confidential, embargoed, unreleased, or that reasonably should be understood as confidential may not be publicly disclosed, shared, copied, or used for any purpose outside authorized participation in the Program until MakerFlo authorizes its release.
This obligation does not apply to information that becomes publicly available through no violation by the Affiliate or that the Affiliate can demonstrate was lawfully known to them without a confidentiality obligation.
11. Affiliate Network
If network or downline functionality is enabled for an Affiliate, that Affiliate may be permitted to invite other individuals to apply to the MakerFlo Affiliate Program using their designated network link.
If a qualifying downline Affiliate generates an eligible order, an upline Affiliate may receive a network commission depending on MakerFlo’s current program settings.
Network commissions, eligibility, and availability are determined by MakerFlo and may be modified or discontinued.
All downline Affiliates remain individually responsible for complying with these Terms and Conditions.
12. Cookies & Tracking
MakerFlo’s Affiliate platform uses cookies and other tracking technology to attribute qualifying referrals.
Customers must allow applicable tracking technology for referral activity to be properly recorded. If a customer blocks cookies, clears their cookies, uses privacy technology that prevents tracking, changes devices or browsers, or otherwise prevents the Affiliate platform from recording the referral, MakerFlo may be unable to attribute the transaction to the Affiliate.
The applicable cookie duration is identified during Affiliate registration, within the Affiliate Dashboard, or through current Program information.
The tracking period generally begins when a customer clicks a qualifying Affiliate link or otherwise activates a qualifying Affiliate referral.
Affiliate commissions can only be paid when the Affiliate platform or other approved MakerFlo tracking method successfully attributes an eligible transaction to the Affiliate.
MakerFlo is not responsible for commissions that cannot be tracked because of circumstances outside of MakerFlo’s reasonable control.
13. Monitoring, Investigation & Enforcement
MakerFlo reserves the right to monitor Affiliate activity and investigate activity that may violate these Terms or otherwise appear inconsistent with the intended purpose of the Program.
During an investigation, MakerFlo may temporarily hold pending commissions associated with the activity being reviewed.
If MakerFlo determines that commissions resulted from fraudulent, prohibited, manipulated, or otherwise ineligible activity, those commissions may be voided.
MakerFlo may also suspend or terminate an Affiliate account for violations of these Terms.
Termination from the Program alone does not automatically eliminate valid commissions earned from eligible referrals before termination. However, commissions connected to fraudulent, prohibited, manipulated, refunded, charged-back, or otherwise ineligible transactions may be denied or reversed as described in these Terms.
14. Removal or Termination from the Affiliate Program
Affiliates who wish to leave the MakerFlo Affiliate Program may request removal by contacting collabs@makerflo.com.
MakerFlo reserves the right to suspend or terminate an Affiliate’s participation in the Program for violations of these Terms, fraudulent or abusive activity, misrepresentation of MakerFlo, or other conduct that materially conflicts with the Program.
Upon termination, the Affiliate must stop representing themselves as an active MakerFlo Affiliate and discontinue use of Affiliate-specific promotional materials, links, codes, and MakerFlo intellectual property as directed by MakerFlo.
15. Taxes & Affiliate Responsibility
Affiliates participate in the Program as independent contractors and are solely responsible for any federal, state, local, or other taxes arising from commissions or other compensation received through the Program.
MakerFlo may require Affiliates to provide applicable tax forms, taxpayer identification information, or other documentation before issuing payments. MakerFlo may report payments to tax authorities when required by law.
16. Changes to the Affiliate Program or These Terms
MakerFlo may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to the Affiliate Program, applicable laws, platform functionality, or business practices.
When material changes are made, MakerFlo may notify existing Affiliates through email, the Affiliate Dashboard, or another reasonable communication method.
Updated Terms will become effective on the date communicated by MakerFlo.
Continued participation in the Affiliate Program after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, unless MakerFlo requires Affiliates to affirmatively accept the revised Terms through the Affiliate platform.
17. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms and Conditions and participation in the Program are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed by the parties in writing, any legal action arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Program must be brought in the applicable state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and the parties consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
18. General Terms
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
MakerFlo’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive its right to enforce that provision or any other provision in the future.
These Terms, together with any Affiliate-specific commission terms, Program information, or separate written agreement expressly incorporated into the Affiliate relationship, constitute the applicable agreement regarding participation in the Program. If a separate written agreement signed by MakerFlo expressly conflicts with these Terms, the separate written agreement will control only as to the subject of that conflict.
